Make soccer accessible to all kids who want to play.
Soccer City Aurora has now become a regular pick up play and soccer destination for so many kids. This year, we were thrilled to see the impact of our mission being recognized by a number of key stakeholders with some transformational gifts. Who We Serve And What We Offer

Soccer City Aurora members come from everywhere and from every soccer background. All are welcome! We have members who are seasoned veterans, fresh beginners, one-time ringers, weekend warriors, or just soccer-curious. We are here for everyone to enjoy the game at its simplest: a ball, a field, and with some new and old friends.

Whether you come to Soccer City for Pick Up Play, Soccer After School, Skills Training, or Games/Tournaments – Game On!

Pick Up Play

The flagship program of the Colorado Soccer Foundation is pick up play at Soccer City Aurora. By becoming a member at Soccer City Aurora, kids are able to play pick up soccer any day of the week. We want kids to enjoy the freedom of the game, allowing them to be creative, make their own teams, and play without the pressure of a coach or top-down structures. Our staff will help monitor team rotations and manage the game clock, and then we just let kids play. It is the beautiful game at its best. Will the next USA Soccer team member come from Soccer City Aurora?

Soccer After School

We complement pick up play with a city-wide afterschool program that allows kids from schools with high rates of free and reducd lunch to play on a team, which is usually their first organized sport. Every Satruday during the fall and spring, the school teams come to Soccer City Aurora for Game Days, where they compete against other schools in what is essentially the largest in-house elementary school soccer league in Colorado.

Skills Training

Also known as Youngsters (or Jovencitos en Espanol), this program was formed and expanded in response to the widespread community demand for a seasonal skills training program for kids aged 4-12, offered three times per week. Under the guidance of a trained coach, participants are taugh the basics of soccer, wrapping up each session with some supervised pick-up play. We have doubled the size of the program from year one to two – and anticipate even more kids signing up in the future!

Games and Tournaments

Soccer City members are eligible to play in our recreational and competitive socceer leagues and tournaments taking place throughout the year. Our community leagues take place in the evenings and run throughout the year, giving young adults the opportunity to play in a more structured environement. We run two tournaments a year – the Colfax Cup and the Copa de los Muertos. All games and torunaments are great fun for the whole family as we have friendly brackets for players of all ages.

Impact

We know the score! The positive physical, emotional, and social health impact on youth from playing soccer, being on a team, and forming community connections is well documented. That said, we still collect data points that demonstrate the impact of our mission. This helps us keep our eye on the ball of being an effective program provider and staying efficient with our business in order to be a responsible fiduciary. We know that the youth who play at Soccer City Aurora and in our programs are the winners!

Vision for the Future

Every team has a dream. Here is ours.

Because of the success of Soccer City Aurora,

our research in the lack of fields for pick up play and accessible soccer programming, AND

our belief that soccer will continue to grow in popularity in the coming years, especially with North America hosting the Men’s World Cup in 2026,

we believe kids deserve more safe and accessible places to play soccer.

Therefore, with the Colorado Soccer Foundation’s unique model for success combining pick up play with community-informed programming,

we envision more world-class youth soccer facilities,

built for any kid who wants to play, each serving as vibrant hubs of fun, healthy activity.
